Welcome to the Halfwish whitepaper, a comprehensive guide to the gameplay, mechanics, and features and future plans of Halfwish, a PVP roguelite game.
In this document, we will introduce the concept and setting of Halfwish, outline the various game modes and features available to players, and provide a detailed breakdown of the gameplay mechanics and systems that drive the game.
Whether you are a seasoned gamer or new to the world of Halfwish, we hope this whitepaper will provide you with all the information you need to fully understand and enjoy this exciting and immersive new gaming experience.
Halfwish is a PVP Roguelite free-to-play game where you can experience a brand new PVP experience that tests your strategy, risk mitigation and bluffing ability.
Collect your own roster of heroes, hunt for loot to trade on the open marketplace and involve yourself in an immersive faction system that will have an impact in the real world.
Halfwish is a card game that does not require players to collect cards or spend money to obtain new cards in order to compete. All players start with the same pool of cards and there is no need to netdeck or follow the current meta. Halfwish is not a trading card game or collectible card game.
You are a Venator, a metaversal bounty hunter travelling to different realms to track down magic lamps for your genie master. (Yes you read that right!) Along the way, items you find or unbox in this game will be available for you to sell via our open market to other Halfwish players worldwide.
With your new found riches, you can go build up your very own realm, gear up to fight in server wide battles for legendary loot!
Important Notes
A Roguelite game means that players start a fresh playthrough of each match and get progressively stronger as the game progresses.
Netdecking refers to copy pasting a game build and/or deck and playing it without any modification.
In essence, a "meta" in gaming terminology is a generally agreed upon strategy by the community.
To provide an overview of the Halfwish game, including its mechanics, gameplay modes, and in-game items and currencies.
To explain the key features of Halfwish, such as its unique hero system, realm wars, and arena modes.

Halfwish is a revolutionary new game that combines the excitement of collectible card games with the immersive world of role playing games. With three different forms of the game set to be released over the course of 2023, there's never been a better time to join the Halfwish community!
First up, we have the physical playing cards. The Halfwish Founders Edition Playing Deck is a collector's dream, featuring:

These cards are used to demonstrate the mechanics of the game and at live tournaments in Singapore, attracting many participants. Don't miss out on your chance to own a piece of Halfwish history!
As of Jan 23, these cards have gone through 9 iterations of balancing to make Halfwish more exciting and fun. These cards are currently available for pre-order, and will be available for sale in the near future.
PC client/web version
We transferred the logic of the Halfwish playing deck to a PC (client/web), and this will allow players to fully immerse themselves in the Halfwish world, with stunning graphics and intuitive gameplay.
We will be building an open marketplace, which enables players to actualise the value of their playtime.
Users who acquire items through loot boxes, the marketplace or other means are able to trade in-game items (skins, weapons, heroes, etc.) on with other players.
Players can also opt to collect and level up their heroes, acquire powerful weapons and equipment, to unlock new playstyles and engage in epic battles with other players.
Mobile version
Finally, we have the mobile version of Halfwish. This version of the game is perfect for players on the go, allowing them to take the Halfwish experience with them wherever they go.
With intuitive touch controls and a streamlined interface, the mobile version of Halfwish is perfect for both casual and hardcore players. The mobile version will be ported when the PC version is completed.
We're currently in the beta phase of development of the PC (Client) version, with the next steps being the implementation of the heroes and weapons systems, the launch of the marketplace, streamer invitationals, the introduction of player barracks, factions wars, and an open invitational.
